Opening Hours

The exhibition will be open to trade visitors and business buyers:

20th JULY 7:00 pm-10:30 pm
21 -22 th JULY 5:30 pm-10:30 pm
23 JULY 5:30 pm-10:00 pm


Transportation

Transportation from hotels to the fairground and vice versa is arranged free of charge for all participants of Paper One Show .

Registration of Visitors

Visitors will be admitted only upon presentation of business card or completion of visitor registration ticket available at the exhibition center's gate.

Show Catalogue

The show catalogue will be printed in English & Arabic will be contain general exhibition information , a layout plan of the stand , an entry of 100 words from each exhibitor, a product index and exhibitor's advertisements.
Each exhibitor is entitled, free of charge to a 100 words entry describing his products . this must be submitted on Catalogue Entry - Form 1-2
The catalogue will be freely available to all registrated visitors to the show.

Visitors Invitation

Every exhibitor is entitled to 50 invitation cards ,if a participant needs more ,please indicate the number of invitation cards required

Exhibitions Badges

Exhibitors and their staff will be issued exhibitors badges .

Show Promotion

Exhibition are reminded to promote the show to trade visitors and other buyers and businessmen and not to the general public. Children under the age of 16 will not be admitted .

Security

24 hours security is provided during the show. However, exhibitors are advised to take adequate precautions to ensure that all articles and valuable items are covered by their own insurance.
The Organizers will not be responsible for the safety of articles of any kind brought into the exhibition hall by exhibitors, their staff or any person whatsoever.

Temporary Stand Personnel, Hostesses and Translators

You can book temporary stand personal through the organizers .

Telephone / Fax / E- Mail

The organizer will make available GSM SIM card through a local service provider for the duration of the show .A fax services will also be made available at the exhibitions business center
Each participant will be entitled for One free prepaid mobile sim for each multiplication of 12sqm .There are already 1200 units charged in the sim for immediate usage ,and participant can use it for his local & Int'l calls ,later participant can recharge his sim by buying cards from Syriatel stands available in the halls.

Cafeteria

A fast food and beverage services are available at the cafeteria, Arabic & Western Food are served in the restaurants that are very near to the fair ground

Car Parking

Ample car parking facilities are available adjacent to the exhibition center.

Business Center / Press Center

For the convenience of the Exhibitors, Visitors and press the organizers will provide a business Center and press center within the Exhibition Hall, including the following facilities: photocopying, stationary, mailing services, computer and printer. The center also offers telephone, fax and e-mail services.

Prohibited items

Exhibitors are reminded to avoid shipping of any prohibited items to the show. Please contact the freight forwarders for details.

Construction timetable

Exhibitors constructing their own stands may occupy their space as of: 8:30 am - 16 July 2008
Organizer's Shell Scheme stands available to exhibitors as :                    8:30 am - 19 July 2008
All stands must be completed by :                                                          12:00 noon - 19 July 2008
Under no circumstances shall exhibitors be allowed to work beyond this time .

Dismantling Timetable

Dismantling the stands and display materials may commence as of 11:30 pm - 23 July 2008
All stands display materials and exhibits must be removed by         11:30 pm - 24 July 2008
It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to be present at his stand during dismantling to see to the safe removal of his exhibits.

Building regulations

Exhibitors are not allowed to paint or fix stickers or other displays to the organizer's stand material and parts. It is also prohibited to fix nails, ropes, strings, screws and adhesives to the structure of the exhibition hall. It is strictly prohibited to extend stand construction or exhibits into the aisles and passage ways.

Fire regulations

All materials used in stand construction must be properly fire- proofed in accordance with international standards; normal international safety standards apply.

Working Exhibits

The organizers reserve the right to determine the acceptable sound level and extent of demonstrations for working exhibits and audio - visual presentations in the event of complaint from other exhibitors. Audio - visual screens should be fitted so they can be viewed from within exhibitor's stands to avoid congestion in the passageways.

Stand cleaning

The organizers are responsible for the cleaning of passageways and organizer's fitted stand floors. Cleaning of exhibits and exhibitor's own furniture is not included.

Name Board

Exhibitors building their own stands are requested to display their name and stand number in English & Arabic.
Exhibitors using the organizer's stand fitting services will have their name and stand number featured on their fascia in English & Arabic. See Form No 2-2 .

Maximum Heights and weights

Maximum height of exhibits on organiser's stands fitting services 2.50 m.
Maximum height of exhibits on purpose build stands 4.00 m.
For higher stands , please submit design to the organizers
There are no weight restrictions on the outside area
The largest goods entrance door for inside exhibits measures (4.5 m wide × 4.5 high)

Inside / Outside Surfaces

The exhibition floor surface is of asphalt compacted ground covered with full carpeted flooring outside the surface is of smooth asphalt.

Power supply

The electrical power supply is 220,50Hz; all exhibitors must order electrical connections through the organizers. See Form Manual no 2-4for details of all electrical services and items on hire.

Water & Waste

The exhibition center has limited facility for piped water or drainage around the perimeter of the center. Contact the official stand contractors for details.

Relocation

The organizers reserve the right to relocate exhibitor's stand position, without liability , should it be deemed necessary for whatever reason.

Air travel

Damascus - Syria is well connected with all major cities of the world thanks to a wide selection of airlines serving Damascus Airport.

Passport and Entry Visa requirements

Visitors who do not require visa's to enter Syria include nationals from: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
All other visitors to Syria can obtain entry visas at boarder points entry, with the exception of
A. AFRICA
Angola ,Benin, Botswana , Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa Republic ,Chad, Congo ,Cote d'iviore, Djibouti , Eritrea , Ethiopia , Gabon , Gambia , Ghana , Guinea Bissau , Guyana , Liberia , Madagascar , Mali , Mauritania , Mozambique , Niger , Nigeria , Senegal , Sierra Leone Somalia , Sudan , Tanzania ,Togo, Uganda and Zambia.
B. ASIA
Afghanistan , Bangladesh , Cambodia , India , Iran , Laos, Mangolia , Pakistan , Papua New Guinea, Philippines , Russia , Sri Lanka and Vietnam .
C. EUROPE
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania.

Health

Although vaccinations are not mandatory , it is recommended for the exhibitors to be inoculated against typhoid cholera and tetanus.

Payment terms

The payment schedule for space only .shell stand is as follows:
α- 50% with submission of application
β- 50% balance by date specified on the application

Where the application is made after the final payment dates specified on the application, the total cost shall be payable with return of the application. The total cost represents only the payment for the site, details of which are set out overleaf and all other goods and services required by the Exhibitor shall be paid for by the exhibitor in addition thereto. Exhibition will not be allowed to take over their space or stands if the payment terms specified on the application are not followed. These terms cannot be varied after the due date for payment until payment is made.

In addition to the space cost (and Organisers stand fitting service if applicable) Exhibitor will be billed for optional services such as hired furniture, electric's telephones, directory advertisements etc.

In the event of the Organisers agreeing to any request for release from the application, the Exhibitor will be liable for all, or part of the cost stated in the application in accordance with the following scale:

Cancellation,90 days prior to the exhibitions opening date                             50%OF TOTAL COST
Cancellation,30 days prior to the exhibitions opening date                             70%OF TOTAL COST
Cancellation, within the last 30 days prior to the exhibitions opening date    100%OF TOTAL COST

This scale of charges will apply only from the date the Organisers receive written notice by letter, fax or Email. In addition to this scale, the Exhibitor will be liable for any specific cost incurred on his behalf by the Organisers.
These terms cannot be varied under any circumstances.

Any organization which, having signed an application for exhibition space, fails to exhibit for any reason of the Exhibitor's own choosing and has not been released from the Agreement by the Organisers shall be liable for the full amount stated in the application plus any additional costs incurred by the Organisers as a result of such failure to exhibit.

In the event of any Exhibitor committing an act of bankruptcy or if a limited company being wound up the agreement terms with him shall be determined and all money already paid shall be retained by the Organisers.

The Organisers ,their servants or agents shall not be liable for the safety of Exhibitors ,their servants , agents , contractors or invitees during the Exhibition nor for any exhibits articles or other property of whatever kind brought into the Exhibition by Exhibitors, their servants, agents, contractors ,or invitees or members of the public .

All bookings are bound by these Terms and Regulations irrespective of any reservations which may be made. The Organisers reserve the right to alter ,add to , or amend any of these conditions or not , the decision of the Organisers is binding if any disagreement on the interpretation of these regulations should arise.

Exhibitors shall make sure that they are fully covered by insurance including, but not restricted to, all risks on their property , exhibits or articles or any kind of public liability and comprehensive protection against any loss or damage caused by any circumstance whatsoever whether by reason of fire, water , theft, accident or any other cause .
The Exhibitor shall insure against indemnify and hold the Organisers harmless in respect of all costs, claims ,the demands and expenses to which the organizers may in any way be subject as a result of any loss or injury arising to any person ( including members of the public or the Organisers ' staff , agents or contractors ) or property howsoever caused as a result of any act or default of the Exhibitors ,his servants, agents , or contactors or invitees.
If the Organisers so demand the Exhibitor shall provide proof to the Organisers that the Exhibitor has adequate insurance cover. Exhibitors must ensure that their temporary staff and the staff of their servants, agents or contractors are insured against claims for workman's compensation.
The period for which such insurance shall be maintained shall run from the time the Exhibitor or any of his servants, agents or contractors first enters the Exhibition grounds, and all his exhibits and property have been removed.

The Organisers shall not in any event be held responsible for any restrictions or conditions which prevent the construction , erection ,completion, alteration or dismantling of stands or the entry, citing of removal of exhibits or for the failure or any services or amenities provided by the hall landlords or other third parties.

The contracted party for a group stand is responsible for ensuring that all Exhibitors within their group are fully aware of and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and by the Rules and regulations of the exhibition as laid down in the Exhibition's Manual.

The Exhibitor must not transfer dispose of, part with or otherwise sublet the whole or any part of his exhibition space . whether for financial consideration or otherwise.

The Exhibitor must, if he is an agent ,distributor or licenses , state at the time of application the names of the principals to be represented. This does not prohibit an Exhibitor displaying the products of a principal for whom he becomes a distributor or licensee after the time of application , with the prior written permission of the Organisers.

The Organisers shall not be liable to the exhibitor by reason of any cancellation or part- time opening of the exhibition . either as whole or in part ,for any non-performance of their obligations under this application or any amendments or alterations to all or any of the Rules and Regulations of the exhibition in each case to the extent that such occurrence is due to any circumstances not within their control.

The Organisers have full power to allocate exhibition areas and position of exhibition space at the exhibition for any reason which in their sole opinion is in the general interest of the exhibition to alter the general layout or any particular stand even if already allotted and contracted and the Exhibitor shall accept such new allotment of space in substitution of that originally allotted to him.

As per the Rules and Regulations of the Syrian Ministry of Economy & Trade, all Exhibitors shall have to abide by the Syrian Intellectual Property Laws and Regulations and must refrain from selling or exhibiting any imitated or counterfeit products.
